Twitter is shutting down its service for the week, leaving thousands of users without their accounts available
Twitter is removing all accounts for users who don’t have a verified account.
The company says the changes will be implemented across the company’s services this week, including its social media and messaging apps.
It also says that all accounts with fewer than 5,000 followers will be closed.
The Twitter service was once a popular place to find news and updates about Twitter, but the company has been trying to address some of the issues it faced during its public launch last month, including an increased volume of harassment on its platform.
