Twitter and social media share growth on Thursday continued to rise in the wake of Donald Trump’s election win, with the botnet sharing growth reaching 6,500 percent in the week to January 25, 2018, according to research by FourFourtwo.
In comparison, there were 1,500 Twitter share increases on the day of the first presidential debate, according a separate analysis by The Information.
The data comes as Trump has been accused of engaging in a “war of words” with his rivals, including former rival Sen. Ted Cruz.
The botnet share growth rate for Twitter, Facebook, Google, YouTube and LinkedIn in the period Jan. 24-25, 2018 is 2,200 percent, according the research company.
Social media users have also been sharing a lot of anti-Trump tweets on Twitter.
A botnet Twitter account, “Trump_s_war_on_trump,” has been posting videos on the social media site showing how Trump has a “very narrow and narrow edge” against Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
