Mastodon has unveiled a new social media app that lets users use the social media platform to tweet and read about its brands, news, and products.
The new social network app, called Mastodon, is available for free and includes the ability to use hashtags and other tools to keep up with the mastodon news feed and other content, the company said in a blog post Monday.
It will be launched with the Mastodon logo on the top of the app and the mastodons logo on a navigation bar, along with a search box that allows users to search for mastodon news and other mastodon content.
The app features three different sections: mastodon, mastodon-related content and mastodon topics.
The mastodon section includes news, reviews, and other articles, while mastodon related content is curated by the mastODons team, the mastodaons brand page, mastodonts and mastodonooms, the Mastodons Facebook page, and mastodaon Twitter account.
Users can also create a group and add it to a mastodon topic, as well as tweet about topics they are interested in.
“The mastodoniess, who can access the mastos social network with a password, can also subscribe to the masto news feed, read mastodon posts, and listen to mastodon podcasts,” Mastodon said in its blog post.
The mastodon team also announced the launch of a new product, a new mobile app, and a new online chat room, which Mastodon hopes will be more relevant to users.
The announcement comes as Mastodon struggles with slowing growth.
According to a March 31 earnings report, the social network lost 4,000 users per day during the first quarter of 2017, while its growth in the past year has slowed to 1.4 million daily users.
While its traffic has been rising steadily, the number of users using the app is growing less quickly, said Mastodon CEO Dan Abramowitz.
The company has been investing in its digital strategy to boost its subscriber base and to increase its reach on the social networks.
In July, Mastodon acquired a stake in Yotpo, the Chinese mobile messaging service that is also popular with Americans.
Yotpo was acquired by Chinese tech giant Tencent in January.
Abramowitz said in the statement that Mastodon is focused on building a “better” user experience for users, and that the company will continue to “reinvent the user experience.”
